C O O K I N G T E A M

It's time to get ready for our annual Turkey Fry Fundraiser. As you know, the event is on Wednesday November 27th, but the planning starts now. Last year we fried and sold 900 turkeys. This year we have set a new goal and plan to sell 1000 turkeys!

To kick of this event, we will have our first committee meeting Monday, October 14th. The meeting will start at 5:30 PM at Ecole Classique. We are asking that anyone who wants to join this committee or just be more involved with this event to please attend.

Not sure about how you can get involved? Here are some of the sub-committees for this event:

Logistics - This year the event will be held at a new location. The Sheet Metal Workers Union has offered their facility to us. We are excited about this, but we also have to spend extra time planning the logistics for the new space. We also need help receiving the birds, getting them to storage and then to the event.
Selling - We are working to have a more robust on-line sales platform this year and need help with set-up and tracking of pre-sales. We also need help from folks pre-selling large orders to local businesses.
Social Media - We are looking for members who want to help us promote this event on all social media platforms. We will also be taking video of all aspects of the event so we can put together promotional video clips to raise awareness about Dawn Busters throughout the year.
Volunteers - We need a ton of volunteers for this event to make it successful. In addition, we need help coordinating the sign-up of different shifts.
